Partial Shipments and Rejected Items

Include only the items being shipped in the current ASN. Delete items not being shipped; do not enter a quantity of 0.
For backordered items: create a separate ASN when they are ready to ship.
Rejected items on a PO Acknowledgement will still appear on the ASN because the ASN sources from the original PO, not the acknowledgement. Manually delete rejected items from the ASN.
To delete an item/pack: locate the specific line and click the delete (trash can) icon. Avoid Delete All unless you intend to remove everything.

Carton Quantity Management

Quantity per Carton: ‘Carton’ here refers to whatever shipping container is being used to ship items (cartons, packs, etc.) and Quantity per Carton represents the number of units grouped within each shipping container. Set this correctly to ensure accurate labels and avoid validation errors.
The Shipped Quantity must be divisible by the Quantity per Carton. Adjust either value to achieve a whole number of cartons; decimals are not allowed.
If Quantity per Carton reverts to the shipped quantity when multiple items are packed together: set Pack Type to Single to prevent this auto-assignment.
For case-based shipments: set Quantity per Carton to 1.
To make permanent changes to Quantity per Carton for future orders: go to Settings > Auto Sourcing, open the relevant trading partner form, and update the field. Note: changes apply only to future shipments.
For one label per case: set Quantity per Carton to 1 and the shipped quantity to the total number of cases.

In SPS Fulfillment, ‘Tare’ refers to pallets.
Pallet Type selection: Single (one SKU per pallet), Multiple/Multi Item (multiple SKUs per pallet), Variety (multiple SKUs per pallet with multiple pallets containing the number and assortment of SKUs).
If indicating a wooden pallet, many trading partners require information about the pallet: Pallet Type Code, number of layers per pallet, number of pieces per layer, pack weight, pallet weight, etc. Leaving any blank will cause the ASN to fail.
If the ASN form uses only tares, pallet vs. case does not need to be specified separately.
For tare/pallet quantity overrides: ensure the shipped quantity per tare, and the combined total across all tares, does not exceed the total quantity shipped on the order.

To create labels indicating multiple pallets (e.g., 1 of 2, 2 of 2): click the + button to add another pack/pallet and divide the item quantity across packs.
To generate multiple pallet labels for a single SKU: enter the total shipped quantity, set Quantity per Carton to the number of cases per pallet, and save. The system generates the correct number of labels automatically by dividing shipped quantity by quantity per carton.
To use your own label numbers: select Using Own Labels before adding any pack information. Enter the original Container IDs. If the option is greyed out, start a new ASN and select the option before adding pack information.
Labels will not generate if you have not filled out all the necessary information at the item level.
To access labels while editing a draft: save your Advance Ship Notice after inputting the necessary information, hit the three dot (‘More Actions’) button, then click ‘Print Shipping Documents’.
To access labels while viewing a draft: click the truck icon at the top right of the screen.
