The attribute Locale identifies the language and region associated with the item's accompanying attributes. The only languages/regions supported at this time are:
English/United States (en-us)
French Canadian (fr-ca)
Please note the rules associated with the use of the Locale attribute in Assortment:
An English version of the item is required to exist in order for a French Canadian version of the item to exist.
The English item must precede the other language versions.
In the example below:
The first version of item '1051' is the full English version of the item, with Locale = en-us. The Vendor Part Description is in English.
The second version of item '1051' is the full French version of the same item, with Locale = fr-ca. The Vendor Part Description is in French.
These are versions of the "same" item in Assortment, so they will share item identifiers (such as UPC, EAN or Vendor Part Number), but may have different item descriptions or marketing messages due to language difference.
