Just like the templates used in printmaking as guides to create multiple of the same print, templates in Fulfillment can be created and saved to serve as a starting point for return documents. Start by creating a basic version of the document that you would like to create a template for (commonly a Free Form Invoice or an Inventory Advice).
Creating a Template
Under the Transactions tab, click Create New.
Select your Trading Partner.
Check the I don't have a source document option. Then, choose which type of basic document you would like to create a template for.
π‘ Tip: Templates can only be created for documents that do not begin with an Order.
Select No, thanks. I'd like to start from a blank document option.
Enter the information that will not change from each document you send to the Trading Partner.
Example: Vendor Number, Address information, etc.
Select the More Actions
icon next to Send Document.
Click Manage Templates.
Name your new template. Be as specific as possible.
Click Save.
Overwriting an Existing Template
You can also update an existing template. To do this, begin by creating a new document using the template that you want to edit. Once the document is created, make any necessary changes by updating, removing, or adding fields. Then, save the revised version as a new template.
Create a new document using one of your existing templates.

Change, remove, or add any fields that you want to be on your updated template.
Click the More Options
icon on your document.
