Forwarding an Order from Fulfillment to your connected 3PL gives you the ability to control when an Order is released from your Fulfillment account to your 3PL. Before you release the Order, you can make necessary changes to it.
Reviewing a Purchase Order
A Purchase Order is sent by your Trading Partner as a request for product and to initiate the Fulfillment cycle.
To review a Purchase Order:
Navigate to the Transactions tab.
Click Advanced Search to filter your documents.
For Partner, enter the name of your Trading Partner.
For Document Type, enter Order.
Enter a Custom Date Range (optional).
Once set, click Search.
Click the blue Document ID to load the document view.
Forwarding the Order
The Workflow is located to the right of the Purchase Order document view. Click New under Forward Order.
Select Auto Fill - Recommended to view required fields.
Click Create New.
π‘ Note: If you are setting up with multiple warehouses, you will be asked to select which partner you want to forward to.
Short vs. Full View
When you first create a document, it defaults to Short View. Here is how the two views work:
Short View: Displays only the required fields that still need to be completed.
Note: If all required information is pre-filled, this view may appear completely empty.
Full View: Displays every single field in the document, whether it is required or optional.
To see all available fields, simply click the Short button to toggle the document into Full View.
π‘ Tip: Learn how to default to Full View when you create a new document to see all fields.
Header Tab
The Header Tab contains general Purchase Order information, such as:
Reference information
Allowances and charges
Terms of sale
Date information
Carrier details
Address information
Make any changes, additions, or deletions as needed.
π‘ Note: Check the Remove all Pricing Information box to automatically remove sensitive pricing information from the Order being sent to your warehouse. Once you check the box, it cannot be unchecked.
Detail Tab
The Detail tab will contain all line item information from the Order. This is where you can update quantities and prices.
Want to set this as a default? Check out Auto Sourcing.
Check for Errors
After you successfully add all line items and ensure mandatory fields are complete, click the
Check for Errors icon at the top of the form. Fields with errors or missing information will be highlighted in red.
Once the form does not return any errors, click Save to create a draft or Send to deliver the document to your Trading Partner.
