SCAC stands for Standard Carrier Alpha Code and is a unique 4-letter code used to identify a carrier or transportation company. The SCAC may be a required field on the Advance Ship Notices you send to your Trading Partners.
To find the SCAC you should use:
Reach out to your buyer or Trading Partner contact. Some Trading Partner's may have specifications for which SCACs can be used.
Reach out to the carrier or transportation company in question.
Perform a search online.
