Items are packaged for shipment in many different ways. Sometimes the individual items (or eaches) are packaged in a case or master pack. Sometimes the items are contained within inner packaging before they are packaged within the case. Communicating accurately to your trading partners how and in what quantities certain items are packaged is critical.

The infographic below explains two scenarios for packaging and shipping items and how to correctly provide that information in Assortment.

  1. In Scenario 1, the individual items are packed in an inner pack of 4 eaches. That inner pack is then packaged 2 to a case/master pack.

  2. In Scenario 2, the individual items are packed directly into the case/master pack. There is no inner pack.
